Air Filters

The service life of an air compressor, like your auto, depends on proper maintenance. The inlet filter, very often neglected, keeps out all of the elements in the air stream that enters the pump. Harmful things like saw dust, metal grindings, sand, paint, even flies and mosquitoes. Any of these can hold a valve open enough to let it leak, any valve leak produces very high temperatures, and increases carbon build up that leads to pump failure. Nearly all pump problems start in the valve area of the pump.
